Africa Energy Balance 2025

Africa Energy Balance 2025

We are pleased to present the 2025 Energy Balance for African Countries, offering a comprehensive analysis of energy production, transformation, and consumption across the continent. This publication represents a key milestone, illuminating both the opportunities and the challenges facing Africa’s energy sector, and reaffirming our commitment to transparent, inclusive, and sustainable energy governance. Energy is a fundamental pillar of development. It is essential for economic growth, improved living conditions, and social transformation. Endowed with abundant natural resources, Africa has considerable potential to become a major player on the global energy scene. However, many challenges remain, such as insufficient infrastructure, disparities in energy access, and the complexity of a just and climate-resilient energy transition.
