The AFREC Africa Energy Database is a comprehensive collection of statistical data based on production, consumption, imports and exports of energy resources of the African countries. This volume represents the 2019 Edition and largely based on energy data collected by AFREC supplemented with secondary data collected by international database providers mainly IEA to make it for missing or unsupplied data. It contains country, regional and continental aggregation of data and provides a compilation of data that is unique.

In this 2019 Key Africa Energy Statistics (KAES) edition, AFREC provides a comprehensive insight on the energy production, supply and consumption in various regions of and the Continent. One of the highlights in this publication is the Total Primary of Energy Supply (TPES) by fuel and by region, indicating significant changes compared to the statistics since the inception of KAES report data in 2000.
